1.    Name of medicine
Tala Health & Wellness
MEGA BRAIN HEALTH

2.    Qualitative and Quantitative Composition
Each capsule contains 500 mg nicotinamide
See 6.1 for full list of ingredients

3.    Pharmaceutical form
White capsules

4.    Clinical Particulars
4.1 Therapeutic Indications
•    Helps to metabolise carbohydrates, fats, and proteins
•    Contributes to normal growth and development
•    A factor in the maintenance of good health
Nicotinamide is converted into nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD) on a cellular level. NAD is a coenzyme that is a hydrogen carrier in metabolic reactions, especially in tissue respiration. Restoring low levels of NAD helps prevent cognitive decline

4.2 Posology and method of administration
Adults: Take one capsule daily with food

Elderly populations
No studies have been performed in elderly populations, but no dose adjustment is expected to be required.

Paediatric populations:
Not recommended for use in children and adolescents.

4.3 Contraindications:
Do not take MEGA BRAIN HEALTH if you are allergic to large doses of nicotinamide.

Special warnings and precautions for use

Interactions with other medicines and other forms of interaction
Risk of myopathy and rhabdomyolysis were reported in a review of patients on statins.
There is an increased risk for thrombocytopenia in haemodialysis patients.

Liver toxicity is associated with high doses of nicotinamide
Emergency treatment should be sought if an allergic reaction is suspected

Overdose
Symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, flatulence, headache, fatigue, and dizziness.
Liver toxicity is associated with high doses of nicotinamide

5.    Pharmacological properties

Chemically, nicotinamide forms part of the coenzymes nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD), used in oxidation-reduction reactions in the body. NAD is also thought to be a signalling molecule controlling a number of processes such as energy metabolism and cell survival.
